December is also Safe Toys and Gifts Month. During the month, thousands of toys are received and given. That makes Dec the perfect time for this. In Dec, a listing of unsafe toys is released. This is so when buying presents, only safe toys will hopefully be bought.

The first day of Dec is World AIDS day. This is a day to raise awareness of AIDS infections and to look for treatment. National Pie Day is recognized on December first also. Dec. 2 is National Fritters day, and Dec. 4 is National Cookie Day. National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is celebrated on December 7. Dec 2010 could be the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was 19 years ago. National Brownie Day is December 8. To commemorate Wilbur Wright, Dec 17 is Wright Brothers Day. Also, the 107th anniversary of the first flight of Orville is recognized with Pan-American Aviation day that very same day. Wear a Plunger on your Head Day is on December 18 too.
